In late June, the Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike held a meeting with Susan Langley, Lady Mayor of the City of London. This meeting is part of the ongoing collaboration between Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the City of London Corporation, based on the Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2017 to support the growth and development of both cities as international financial centres.
During the meeting, the parties plan to exchange views on strengthening cooperation between the two cities, building on their shared commitment to promoting growth as leading global financial hubs. This was followed by a joint press conference by the Governor and the Lady Mayor.
2026年6月18日（木）、小池百合子東京都知事は、英国シティ・オブ・ロンドンのスーザン・ラングリー レディ・メイヤーと会談を行いました。この会談は、2017年12月に締結された合意書に基づき、国際金融センターとしての両都市の成長と発展を支援するために、東京都とシティ・オブ・ロンドンとの間で継続されている取り組みの一環です。
会談では、両都市が世界をリードする金融ハブとしての成長を促進するという共通の決意に基づき、両都市間の協力強化について意見交換を行いました。会談後には、東京都知事及びレディ・メイヤーによる合同記者会見をおこないました。
